I think money and power can't buy you safety because money and power can get you killed. someone with power can always be overthrown or assassinated. And someone with money can only be used or dead.
I agree with what your trying to say. Power makes a president or king be overthrown, and same thing applies with money. At the end of the day, both are the types of situation in which you can die.
